In this post, I’ve curated a list of some of the most impressive free InDesign templates currently available directly from Adobe Stock.
When I first started working as a designer, free templates and layouts like these were a rarity. Hosting costs were high, the internet was still relatively new and giving away free work just wasn’t party of the design community yet.
However today it’s a very different story, with hundreds – if not thousands – of pro-level graphic designers actively giving out templates and resources for free.

It’s impressive to see so many templates being given away for free, especially INDD templates for Adobe InDesign which are arguably far more difficult to produce than files for Photoshop or Illustrator.
But if it weren’t for these freebies, I’m sure the number of people downloading premium templates would be far fewer, and there’d be no reason for sites like Templates For Print to exist, right!?
I joke – but a lot of truth is said in jest. Trying out these free InDesign templates is a great way to ‘dip your toe’ in the template world ecosystem, and see just how useful these pre-made layouts can be, all without spending a dime.

Keep in mind that just because something is free, it doesn’t mean that you can use it commerically in your design business. Ensure that the item you download includes a commercial license before using it for your clients.
